PWP Industries Receives 'SUPERIOR’ Rating in AIB Audit

MINERAL WELLS, WV. – January 7, 2005 -- The American Institute of Bakers (AIB) has awarded PWP a Superior rating. ‘Superior’ is the highest possible rating out of five scoring categories. AIB is a not-for-profit corporation founded as a tech center for bakers and food processors. AIB standards were developed to evaluate product safety programs, best operational methods, best personnel practices, maintenance for food safety in manufacturing, production and warehousing and best sanitation practices.

The AIB standards are issued by a variety of global organizations including the U.S. Department of Health and Welfare, Food and Drug Administration, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Therefore, the AIB standards are more comprehensive and stringent than any company standard.

Certification to AIB standards is important for the following reasons:

• Provides customers with a Quality Certification to a globally recognized standard.

• Provides assurances to existing and potential customers that the products are produced in a qualified plant that meets strict quality criteria and customer specifications.

• Reduces the need for customers and third party audits of the quality assurance systems.

PWP Industries, founded in 1998, is the leading PETE food packaging thermoformer in North America, with manufacturing plants located in Vernon, CA and Mineral Wells, WV. PWP is highly regarded in the plastics industry for producing competitively priced quality parts, superb customer service, and innovative product designs. Achieving AIB’s Superior rating represents the promise that PWP takes in providing fresh, safe, and quality packaging to their clients.
