The Polymer Alliance Zone selects PWP Industries as the "Polymer Industry of the Year."
CHARLESTON, WV. -- February 10, 2005 -- The Polymer Alliance Zone (PAZ) at their 2005 Annual Meeting selected PWP Industries located in Wood County’s, Mineral Wells, WV as the “Polymer Industry of the Year.” “We are extremely pleased to have such an outstanding company locate and grow in the Zone”, said Bryan Stepp, Chairman of the PAZ Board of Directors. Accepting the award was Bob Speelman, PWP’s plant manager.
PWP Industries manufacturers containers for the food industry. They located in Wood County in 2002 and promised to hire 50 people in the first three years with an initial investment of 8 million dollars. To date, PWP has hired over 100 employees and has invested over 12 million dollars. In addition to the jobs and investments, PWP has expanded their 120,000 square foot building to 132,000 square feet.
“It is very rare that a company exceeds their growth expectations so quickly”, said R. V. Buddy Graham, President of PAZ. This company has an outstanding record of meeting and surpassing everyone’s expectations. It is for these reasons and many more that we are honoring PWP Industries with this honor. “We are looking for great things from PWP in the near future as they continue to grow”, concluded Mr. Stepp.
